Programs

This is a list of programs that are free or low-cost and which I personally recommend. This list is not exhaustive. There are many excellent programs not on this list, but many might be high cost. This list is meant to focus on low- to no-cost options for teachers who might not have the support they need. All recommendations are aligned with reading research, and my rationale is explained in the RATIONALE link next to each program. There are no links to Amazon, because most programs are not available there, and I do not recommed trying to find them on Amazon because you may get an incorrect or overpriced product. Remember kids: Amazon. is. bad.

About

I'm Dae Selcer. I'm a teacher, a doctoral student in reading science, and an adjunct instructor teaching pre- and in-service teachers about reading. I'm also a C-SLDI. One time I won a big award. You can read a bit more about my teaching here. This website is built on Neocities because I am a child of the 80s, I do not like Amazon Web Services, and I am stubborn. You cannot find me on social media, but maybe one day I'll create a YouTube channel. Send me a telegram about it.
